Overview:

The Select Committees Seminar looks at the different types of Select Committees, their makeup and role, providing evidence to Select Committees, and APPGs. This seminar will also feature expert guest talks from clerks of both the House of Commons and the House of Lords. This seminar will be at 09.00 on Friday 01 May 2026.

The course has a particular focus on:

• The role and composition of Select Committees
• How to engage with Select Committees
• A guide to presenting evidence and how to fulfil committee expectations.

Who Should Attend:

This course is designed for anyone who works in an environment which is related to Parliament and wishes to develop their knowledge of Select Committees. It is well suited to public servants, academics and those from the voluntary and private sectors who are interested in this particular aspect of the parliamentary process.
