Select Committee Training | IPT

A comprehensive, half-day seminar designed to help delegates understand the important role select committees play in scrutinising the work of government. Delegates will hear from expert parliamentary figures such as Chairs, Members and Committee Clerks about the best way to engage with select committees.

The course has a particular focus on:

  • The role and composition of select committees
  • How to engage with Select Committees
  • A guide to presenting evidence and how to fulfil committee expectations.

 

Who should attend

This course is designed for anyone who works in an environment which is related to Parliament and wishes to develop their knowledge of select committees.

It is well suited to public servants, academics and those from the voluntary and private sectors who are interested in this particular aspect of the parliamentary process.
