As the UK seeks to forge stronger ties with a range of new trade partners, the UK-China relationship has never been more important. China represents an important customer, joint venture partner and investor for many businesses. China’s ambitious Belt and Road initiative represents an important opportunity for UK business, with progress on trade more likely under the new ‘Golden Era’ of Sino-British relations.

This dinner discussion will:

  • Consider business experiences of trading with Chinese partners and what underpins this success
  • Explore how UK companies can better exploit trading opportunities under the Golden Era, and how could international trade agreements help facilitate trade with China
  • Discuss how UK markets will be perceived post-Brexit and can the UK continue to be an attractive place to do business.
