IPT Policy Events

IPT Policy Events 2012The end of 2011 saw the highly successful re-invigoration of the IPT Policy Events Series.

We saw most of you at various events along the way, but to re-cap we had some fantastic speakers including the Rt Hon Lord Ashdown, Andrew Bailey, Executive Director, Bank of England and Richard Hardie, Chairman, UBS.

We are continuing to develop the Policy Event programme through the key discussion areas of Digital, Economy & Finance, Energy, Ethics & Sustainability, Health, Manufacturing and Transport & Infrastructure.

IPT Fellowships

Dan Rogerson MP has recently completed his IPT Fellowship with Waste Recycling Group. Dan looked at the challenges and opportunities facing the waste industry which contributed to his roles in the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Select Committee and the Associate Parliamentary Sustainable Resources Group.

“The (Fellowship) scheme is invaluable and ought to be seen as a must for MPs like me who had always worked in the public sector prior to my election.”
Dan Rogerson, Liberal Democrat MP for North Cornwall

Supporting the IPT

The IPT maintains links with a variety of companies, ranging in size from SMEs to FTSE 100s and sourced from a number of business sectors.

By maintaining a strong support base representing both UK and international business, the IPT’s ability to fulfil its stated aims becomes stronger and the gap between parliament and industry is reduced.

Parliamentary Seminars for Business

The IPT offers bespoke Company Seminars. These half-day or full-day training sessions in the Houses of Parliament are an exciting opportunity to up-skill a number of staff on parliamentary process, policy or a specific area of Parliament of your choosing.
