Our mission is to achieve the best business-informed parliament and the best parliamentary-informed business community in Europe by providing educational services that:
- Enable parliamentarians from all parties to learn directly from the business community: how it operates, generates and delivers value, so that they may appreciate and take proper account of the impact of legislation on business and commerce.
- Enable businesses of all sizes and sectors to learn directly from parliamentary members and staff about the procedures of both UK and EU parliaments so that they may understand how legislation is drafted, scrutinised and enacted.
- Enable civil servants, as the drafters and facilitators of legislation that impacts on business, to gain a thorough understanding of parliamentary processes.
We remain constant to our values:
- IPT is non-party political and invites all parliamentarians to participate in its activities
- IPT is a strictly non-lobbying organisation and no company or parliamentarian may seek to derive direct benefit or preferment from its involvement
